Guess what Lady GaGa did last night? She spent five hours chatting to Julian Assange, that’s what.
We know we don’t often veer into the territory of real news – you know, all that stuff that doesn’t involve the lives of celebrities and what have you - but once in a while its necessary, and now is such a time.
Why? Well, occasionally celebrities and real news collide – sometimes catastrophically and sometimes comically. This story falls into the latter category, because while you were all eating dinner last night and watching EastEnders (or Corrie, we really don’t know what you’re into) Lady GaGa was holed up in the Ecuadorian Embassy having a chat with none of than Julian Assange. You know, as you do.
The singer spent five hours talking to, and having dinner with, the Wikileaks founder who’s fighting extradition to Sweden where he faces charges of rape and sexual assault.
Sod knows what the two talked about, perhaps they shared an international secret or two? Maybe they even discussed those charges Julian is facing?
But while all reason seems to have gone out the window in this abstract scenario we can only hope that Assange had the good sense to quiz GaGa about what the hell she was wearing. She does know it’s not Halloween yet, right?
