A History of Naked, Pregnant Celebs on Magazine Covers
Demi Moore in Vanity Fair August 1991
The naked pregnant lady who started it all. It’s been over 20 years since Demi Moore took it all off for photog Annie Leibovitz on Vanity Fair, a cover to which we now owe credit for inspiring two decades of generally awkward copycats. Yet in spite of its success (mimicry is the sincerest form of flattery, right?), Leibovitz later told Vanity Fair that she wasn’t that into her pic of Demi, simply stating, “I don’t think it’s a good photograph per se.” Everyone’s her own harshest critic, but we must say that, in many cases, we wish that her contemporaries agreed!
