Myartscandals | Mindy McCready | Fifth Victim of 'Celeb Rehab' Curse

On Sunday, the body of a country music singer Mindy McCready was found in her Arkansas home after suicide. His death came as a surprise not only for the fans, now casting the spotlight on VH1's "Celebrity Rehab."
The Daily Beast reports they show "Is 'Rehab' Help or Hurt?" McCready is the fifth person who appeared in the reality series died within two years.
Other cast members who were victims of a similar fate reasonable include:
Mike Starr (44): The Alice in Chains bassist, who appeared in Season 3 of "Rehab," died of a prescription drug overdose in February 2011.
Jeff Conaway (60): May 2011, "Taxi" actor died of pneumonia related to his prescription drug use. Conaway was featured on the first and second season of the show.

The trend of deaths associated with "Rehab" make thoughtful skepticism among critics of the model shows: put rehabilitation at the camera and pay cast members to participate.

"I am deeply saddened by this terrible news. My heart goes out to the family of Mindy and children. She is a lovely lady who will be missed by many people. Though I have not treated her for several years, I have reached out to him recently after hearing about the suicide of her boyfriend and father of her children were younger. She was devastated. Though he feared stigma and ridicule he agreed with me that he must make health and safety a priority. Unfortunately it seems that Mindy did not defend her treatment. "
